Join Andrew Savage on Wednesday, October 21st, for a candid Q&A with Generator's Executive Director, Meg Hammond, about starting and scaling a business for impact. We will discuss the risks, the setbacks, and the choices that shaped Lime, plus Andrew's path from Burlington to the Bay Area and back.

Andrew helped build Lime from the ground up and led the team through finding its first markets to going public. Along the way he built Lime's government relations and sustainability functions from scratch, work that earned him a spot on the TIME100 Climate list and led to Lime being listed as a TIME Most Influential Company and Fast Company "Business that Matters."

This should be a great opportunity to learn from someone who's built a company from an idea into a global operation, and who's willing to talk honestly about what that actually took.

Zero Gravity will provide refreshments to help ensure loose tongues and honest answers!

⚡CALLING ALL HANDS!⚡

Come help the Project Pride & Joy push their community art quilts over the finish line this Saturday, August 22nd at Generator Makerspace in Burlington.

No sewing experience needed!

There are plenty of different tasks to complete, and many hands make light work. Here's what you can expect to jump into:

Binding quilts – an easy skill to pick up on the flyTying quilts – the simplest hand-quilting method, with room for several people to work on the same quilt at once

Hand quilting – just a bit trickier than tying, still simple, and also open to multiple people at a time

Appliqué and embellishments – sew on appliqué pieces and add embellishments to different quilt

"Heck Yeah!" affirmation quilt – write and decorate affirmations for q***r youth on quilt blocks for a special quilt headed to Outright Vermont

Bring yourself, your fam, a few friends you haven't seen in a while - all ages and abilities are welcome! Come as you are and learn a new skill or two while you help out. Skilled volunteers from local quilt guilds and fabric shops will be on hand at the technique-focused stations to help guide folks along.

Drop in anytime on Saturday, August 22nd from 10:00am-3:00pm and stay as long as you'd like.

This community event is free to participate.
