Today we'd like to appreciate one of our senior's Billy. Billy has been with us for two years and has brought a welcoming presence to the office. As a film major, Billy was instrumental in the filming and editing our staff holiday video. Congratulations Billy and best of luck in your future!

Shoutout to our superstar senior Caitlin! Caitlin has been a tremendous asset to the Event Center Team for 3 years. We really appreciated her compassion for people and attentive customer service, along with her committed work ethics. We will miss her smiling face in the office and we are so excited to watch her success grow out in the world!

All of us on the Event Center team want to shine a spotlight on one of our senior rockstar students Hannah! Her bright personality and perseverance made her an irreplaceable addition to our team. Hannah was instrumental in our summer work and in introducing new summer staffers to the expectations of the summer months. We appreciate all of her creative ideas along with her awesome customer service skills. Congratulations on graduating this year and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors! Hi everyone! The Event Center staff is here to wish you well in these very clarifying times. We will continue to work remotely to stay safe and practice physical distancing, while we stay virtually connected. Similar to all of you, the team has gotten creative with Zoom meetings, Google Hangouts, and Webinars to stay informed and to find new ways to stay connected. Dear Champlain College Conference & Event Center Guest,
Champlain College is closely monitoring the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. College leadership has been meeting regularly to discuss guidelines and implement recommendations made by government and public health agencies, and plan a response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Champlain’s interim president, Dr. Laurie Quinn, announced yesterday that students will not return to campus next week at the conclusion of spring break and, effective March 23, all Burlington campus courses will be conducted through remote instruction. Remote instruction means that students will participate in courses online from home.
Additionally, events and meetings that bring external individuals or external groups to campus are being virtualized or cancelled, effective immediately.
As Dr. Quinn indicated in her message, the College will make an updated announcement regarding the status of campus and services on Monday, April 6th. For events scheduled at Champlain College through the end of August, we will continue to hold your spaces, and will reassess with an update on April 6th. In the meantime, please feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns.
First and foremost, our commitment is to the safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, faculty, and Event Center guests. The Conference & Event Center will work with you to reschedule your conference or event for a later date. We will be flexible with the contract terms.
Please rest assured that when we are able to have your events on campus, we will continue to practice preventative actions. Here is what you can expect:
Hand sanitizers (alcohol based per CDC recommendation) throughout the buildings.
Signs in restrooms showing the correct way to wash hands.
Disinfectant wipes at microphones/lecterns.
Additional spacing per round table for meal functions.
Attendees will be served by catering staff at buffets.
