Community impact isn't an afterthought in a Champlain education; it's by design.

For 43 years, Champlain College alum and adoption advocate, Wanda Audette '84, has shown up for Vermont families.

Her work transforming Vermont’s social services community as the former Director of Adoption at Lund is celebrated in a recent Seven Days article.

Citing an internship at the Howard Center, Audette shared how Champlain’s focus on practical experience opened the door to a career that became a life of service.

"I will always be grateful for the lessons that have stayed with me throughout my career: when we come together as a community, we don't ask, 'Why can't we?' We ask, 'How can we?'"
