I am back making regular videos! I appoligize I took a way longer break than I intended but it was much needed.

Let's so some interval training!! Ascending and descending today! We still started off pretty easy for the first day back though.

Catch breaths are difficult to make sure we’re still breathing properly! Especially when the song or character is becoming more high energy. So practicing proper catch breaths is a great way for it to start feeling like a normal thing to do. Which will then become muscle memory.

Jeanette was being a lazy bones today BUT, she still did really well playing the C minor scale. I also went a little more in detail about the difference between the C minor 7th chord and the C minor-major 7th chord. It's sounds complicated but it's really just a half step change!

The important thing today is to really oay attention to the sound difference because Monday you'll be trying to name 7th chords by ear!

Both being able to hear and visually recognize interval and chord quality is a really great skill to have! When you continue to train your musical ear, you start to develop your ability to stay on pitch, freestyling melodic lines over music, and writing your own music!

This is honestly my favorite thing to add into my vocal warmups. Stretching! It's kind of baffling to think about all the muscles we have in our body. Not to mention, how many muscles we use when we sing!

Strengthening your tongue and releasing tension from the jaw and mouth is super important! If you don't think you hold tension there do the tension massage and see if you still feel the same way!

Ah anatomy! This is a muscle we use a lot but probably never even think about. This muscle alleviate a lot of tension in the jaw and throat by stretching! How on earth do you stretch that muscle you ask? Take a look at tomorrow’s Warm Up Wednesday to find out! 😁
