Join us for the day to spend time working on your own analog (granny craft) projects or learn a new skill. Meet others, get help, just hang out. There will be "mini sessions" throughout the day on topics from 2D Felting to Watercolors to Embroidery and Hand Sewing. A complete schedule will be sent to all who register. Bring your own lunch or plan to go out. We will have some basic snacks throughout the day.

Eco-printing uses natural materials to create beautiful, wearable works of art.

Over two days (Monday, August 3rd and Tuesday, August 4th), we’ll learn about natural dyes, prepare our fabric dye bundles for steaming, and spend time in the dye garden (weather permitting). At the end of day two, we’ll unveil our wearable works of art. This is a two-part class; you must be able to attend both days. Ages 18+ welcome

Using leaves and flowers, participants in our "Cyanotypes on Fabric" program created a photographic image without a camera! Cyanotypes (or sun prints) are a simple way to capture botanical forms and create compelling pieces of art.

Registration for our next Community Arts program, "Immersion Dyeing with Natural Colors" will open on July 2nd at 9 AM. So be sure to mark your calendars, spots fill up quickly!

We had a blast during last week's "Arts in the Arboretum" program. The kids enjoyed exploring shapes in nature, colors, and the joys of abstract art. Join us for the next session (free) on June 25, 2026; 10 - 11 AM.

Children ages 3-5 can join the Community Arts Agent from Boone County Extension as we make music, work out the wiggles, and create an art project to take home. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
