Our Wildcat staff spent some time learning all about Capturing Kids Hearts- a teaching and learning process to continue to help build strong, meaningful connections with our students.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Mt. Zion Baptist Church for providing a space to gather, as well as snacks and lunch.
Also, thank you to our E.M. Holt Elementary PTO for providing lunch for our staff as well.
We are so grateful for !

Welcome Maddison Ridgill as our School Counselor!

“Hello, my name is Maddison Ridgill and I am excited to be the new school counselor at E.M. Holt Elementary! I was born and raised in Greensboro, NC, and earned both my undergraduate degree and Masters in School Counseling from UNC-Chapel Hill. I am also a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA).

This is my second year working as an elementary school counselor, and much of my counseling experience has been in rural school communities—something I have a huge passion for! I love building meaningful relationships with students, supporting their social-emotional and academic growth, and helping them feel confident and cared for at school.

Outside of school, I’m a proud Tar Heel, a big coffee lover, and am happiest when I’m outdoors. I enjoy hiking, playing pickleball, and spending time with family and friends. I’m looking forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff at E.M. Holt and being part of such a wonderful school community!”
