ABAE is proud to announce a late addition to our endorsement slate! Kourtney Royster only entered his name into the race recently and in this short time, he has hit the ground running getting his campaign off the ground. Kourtney works with students in Durham, NC as a counselor. This is what he has to say about who he is and why he is running:
"I am Kourtney J. Royster, and I grew up in Burlington. I am a licensed mental health counselor dedicated to supporting youth and their mental health. I graduated from Cummings High School in 2009. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Management from Clemson University, my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, and I am currently pursuing my doctorate at NCCU. In my free time, I share mental health and su***de prevention resources through various organizations. I am running because I believe I represent one of the groups whose voices need to be heard. I also believe that Alamance County deserves county commissioners who listen and act in the best interest of the community."

We should not play with our communities like this. Leaders should lead, and we need County Commissioners who are willing to stop kicking the can and listen to the people of their areas.
