What actually happens when you walk into an ecstatic dance?
I could try to explain it.
But the people who have danced with us probably say it better:
“I feel more love.”
“Acceptance, non judgement, being and feeling fully seen, less worry, many different emotions, release, being uplifted.”
“I let go of so many energy blockages that it helped me shed a stubborn narrative of being confined and controlled.”
Your experience might be completely different.
You might dance hard. You might barely move. You might feel joyful, awkward, emotional, playful, peaceful, energized, or something you weren’t expecting.
There are no steps to learn and no way you’re supposed to look. All bodies are welcome here.
Just a room, music, other humans, and permission to move however feels right to you.
Our next Ecstatic Dance Suburbia is this Sunday morning, August 23, at Mainwood Dance Club in Arlington Heights.
