Today we celebrated our final City Blue Awards of the year! 🎉 Congrats to all award winners — Character, Student of the Month, Perfect Attendance, Outstanding Academic Achievement, Principal’s Pick, Citizenship, and ELL. Special shoutout to our 2nd graders moving up to 3rd at Wilbur Watts Intermediate — we’re proud of you! 👋

Happy Father’s Day to the dads, step-dads, granddads, and father-figures who lift us up, make us laugh, and lead by example. Today we celebrate the support, love, and discipline you provide for our students. Thank you. 💙👔📸

Honoring freedom, resilience, and the long road toward justice — Juneteenth is a reminder to learn, listen, and act. Today we honor and recommit to celebrating and supporting our Black communities.

🌟We had a great day at Sesame Place today for our attendance incentive trip! Students from the Smith and Lawrence Schools with excellent attendance enjoyed the water park, rides and meeting some of their favorite Sesame Street characters!

👏Please join us in congratulating these Super Readers of Preschool for the month of May! These students read at least 15 minutes a night with their families this month.

📚We would like to congratulate ALL our families who participated this year in our Family Reading Incentive program. Some families read at least 15 minutes a night all year and handed in a reading log for every month. Amazing!

🌟Establishing a daily reading habit is one of the most impactful things you can do for your child's development! Reading every night with your child helps expand their vocabulary, gives them the skills to learn how to read, promotes emotional regulation and empathy, and strengthens the parent and child bond with special time together.

😎We encourage all our preschool families to continue your daily reading habit with your child ALL SUMMER LONG. Or, start a daily reading habit this summer if you haven't already. We are lucky in Burlington City to have TWO libraries. Check them out this summer - they have family programming all summer long! Burlington County Library System

💐Today we honored our beloved Ms. Breisacher (Ms. B.) as she embarks upon her retirement next week. Students and staff gathered in the gym for an assembly where we thanked her for her devotion to our school community for the last 22 years. There was a long line of students waiting to give Ms. B. a goodbye hug. Thank you Ms. B. for everything you have done to support the growth and development of our students. We will miss your unwavering support! Please come back frequently to visit us. We love you! 💐

😎Kindergarten classrooms celebrated a year of learning with their end of the year summer beach party on the playground today. Students enjoyed water play, snacks, bubbles, games and jumping in the bounce house. It was a beautiful day to have some fun with friends before departing for the summer. 😎
