2026-27 may be the year of worsening world famine and food insecurity. The World Food Program is already bracing for the potential fallout from a record strong El Niño, which can lead to drier-than-average conditions in some areas and wetter, flood-risk conditions in others. This can disrupt planting, growing seasons, harvests, pasture, and water availability.

City Nature Challenge (CNC) started in 2016 as a competition between Los Angeles and San Francisco. CNC has grown into an international event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife in their own cities.
These photos were taken on a marsh walk in Coyote Point Park, San Mateo, led by the wonderful staff at CuriOdyssey. Bella CF is a proud funder of their conservation effort and educating the next generation to care and be curious about the natural world. Because we care for what we love. Our ecosystems and its biodiversity are endangered. It will require a massive effort, working together, to save our planet and therefore ourselves.
