This summer we did mosaics for the first time, and we are obsessed! Our campers designed dessert trays or stepping stones, and then cut the tiles and applied the grout all on their own.

Summer is almost here, and with that, our 9 fantastic weeks of camp! Week 3: Picnic in the Park runs June 23 - 27 and features a field trip where we paint on location. After the wild success of this theme's debut last year, we are delighted to bring back this plein air opportunity this summer.

"On Tuesday we’ll be royalty for a day, and find ourselves at a decadently styled picnic — a true feast for the eyes. We’ll set up our easels and paint the luscious petals, peaches, and pastries, capturing the sumptuous scene with each swish of our brush. This will be a still life experience unlike any other, as the dappled light spilling through Washington Park’s majestic trees will add flashes of gold and glitter to our outdoor soiree. We’ll spend the rest of the week continuing our celebration of the simple pleasures of fruits and flowers, in our studio paintings and fine art crafts."
