New month, new location, new planner, before the pen in my new Medium . I can’t believe I’m in a bound planner, this is truly a first for me but loving the journal so far. Planned out the month with this cute spring set and the week with a kit from that reminds me of my Paris loving mommy, which I though was great in the week leading up to Mother’s Day.

The class I was most prepared for, before it began, gave me the most anxiety. Maybe it was a new technique, maybe it was IF brain fog, but between the fast pace and not having in the way of tools , almost pushed me to the point of giving up on the project , I mean did I really need ANOTHER paper flower wreath. And then as I worked with the tools I had (including a hot glue stick) it slowly came together and then it clicked . Oh that click! I’m not sure there’s anything better! Thanks for the great class and the fun cabin gift ! I feel like I was channeling my inner with the handmade flowers! And yes, I do need a second handmade flower wreath! Have you made handmade flowers ⁠

First it was , then it was Concord and 9th summer camp, now I’m learning the basics. Hey friends , heads up you’re going to see me posting a lot about the show me your drills challenge in July. I am learning calligraphy! Again! I took a calligraphy class back in my junior high school years, and I’ve tried numerous ways since, and have fallen in love with modern calligraphy. I’m now going to learn how to do it properly. So be prepared to see my feed or at the very least my stories with a whole lot of calligraphy content. And while it might be over sharing , you’re 67 billion times more likely to stick to your goal if you tell someone about it!

Finally assembled my turnabout card from class at camp, I have to say that inlay made me feel all thing crafty things!! It was only letters but there’s something relaxing about the precision of the placement .

I think the turnabout sessions have been my most favorite yet. It’s that instant gratification!! So grateful to and for their tips and tricks. Still die cutting the pieces for Laura’s cards! But loving having a stash of cards at the ready after these sessions

Eek… had a little bit of creative time last night catching up on replays , took out a piece of paper and played with the pens on my desk and made this fancy drop cap lettering letter R. Hard to believe this was just an open arias letter. I have a long way to go for it to be easy, and that frustrates me, I always want art techniques to be instant gratification? I will say consciously thinking about drawing with my arm vs my wrist or hand was super satisfying and eye opening!
When you watch a video of creators do you just want the end result to happen or are you happy with the progress.
