We Did It! 🏆💜

We’re so proud to share that San Mateo Toastmasters Club 191 has achieved Smedley Distinguished status — the highest level of club recognition in Toastmasters’ Distinguished Club Program! 🎉🏆

This recognition didn’t happen overnight. It reflects years of dedication from our leadership teams, past and present, and from members who continue to show up, contribute, and support one another week after week.

Every Tuesday, there’s a special energy in the room — people stepping up, supporting one another, sharing ideas, and yes, laughing a lot along the way. 😄 We take learning seriously, but we also believe growing together should be fun.

It’s all these moments, big and small, that have shaped the community we have today.

A heartfelt thank you to our past and presents Leadership teams and every member who has been part of this journey. This recognition belongs to all of you.

We did it together. 🎉

And if you’ve ever been curious about Toastmasters, come experience our club for yourself. Meet the people, feel the energy in the room, and see what a Tuesday evening with us is really like. 🎤

🎤 Why do people come to Toastmasters?

Tonight, our guests came to Toastmasters for different reasons:
✨ To keep learning public speaking after retirement
🌉 New to the Bay Area and ready to build speaking confidence
🤝 A friend said, “You should try Toastmasters!”

A highlight: a couple each delivered prepared speeches. 🎤👏

Different ages, different backgrounds—one thing connects everyone: the willingness to grow.

Toastmasters builds communication, thinking on your feet, feedback, and leadership.

You don’t need to be confident—just willing to try. 💜

👋 Curious? Visit us as a guest!
Come experience a meeting with us — every Tuesday! 💜
