💛 Texans Go Gold for Rhodes! 💛

We couldn’t think of a better way to close out Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Yesterday, our Taylor Texans came together to form a gold ribbon in honor of our very own Kinder student and superhero, Rhodes. 🎗️

Rhodes, this ribbon is made up of hundreds of Texans standing with you, cheering for you, and reminding you that you are never fighting alone. Your Taylor family loves you, misses you, and can’t wait to have our superhero back with us! 💛

No Texan fights alone. We fight together. 🎗️💛

Dear Taylor Families and Staff,

Taylor Elementary is closed today after an 18-wheeler damaged the power lines near the campus early this morning, resulting in a power outage at the school. Access to the campus is also currently blocked due to the incident.

Oncor has notified us that power cannot be restored in time for us to hold classes today.

We know a school closure with little notice creates an unexpected change for our families and staff, and we appreciate your understanding as crews work to address the situation.

We will continue to monitor the progress of the repairs and will communicate with families and staff as soon as we have additional information regarding the next school day.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Mr. Uranga, Principal
