First week of camp has been a blast!!
Ever wonder what your brain looks and feels like? Our campers got to look at their brain and see how special it is. It's soft and is housed in a protective skull. It's not fully developed until age 25. Oh, and your brain is 70% water! So stay hydrated this summer!!

Our school fish had 13 babies! Our small aquarium is very important to our students. They love watching the fish as it makes them fell calm. We often hear the request, "Can I go watch the fishies for my brain break?!"

Our Summer Brain Connection Camp Theme is based on the INSIDE OUT movie! Therapists and counselors have been using this movie to teach children about our emotions and how they effect our actions.

At RLM we emphasize the importance of self-regulation in our students. We want them to be the most successful that they can be and a part of being successful is emotional intelligence. It's OK to feel! It's even better to know what to do/how to respond when we feel angry, scared, and uncomfortable.

We CAN'T wait to see you all for camp!!

Week 1 - Intro
Week 2 - Anger
Week 3 - Fear
Week 4 - Disgust
Week 5 - Sadness
