I play trumpet in band, and in my free time I love to volunteer at camp, work with younger kids, and spend time with my family and friends. I am a Sophomore this year, and I participated in greenhand creed speaking and greenhand quiz for LDES last year, and I show market rabbits! Outside of FFA I spend my time hanging out with friends (a lot), family, and my dog tiny and my cat kitty (creative I know.) Anyways! “Hello, Burleson FFA! My name is Trinity Smith, and I’m excited to serve as your Burleson FFA Reporter for the 2026–2027 school year! This is my third year in FFA and my second year showing Dorper lambs. Last year, I had the opportunity to participate on the Vet Med team. Outside of FFA, I play the saxophone in the band and also play basketball. I’m looking forward to sharing our chapter’s memories, accomplishments, and events throughout the 2026–2027 year while keeping everyone connected. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together. “Hey guys!! My name is Aubrey Emanuel or also known as C.C.L, and I am so proud and happy to be serving as y’all’s 2026-2027 chapter Sentinel! Some things about me is that I show fancy poultry and I LOVE the color orange. It’s my second year in FFA and it’s like my second family, I love it so much. These people make me feel seen and I will make sure to do the same to you! So don’t hesitate to come to me if you want to talk about something, i’m always here! The things I do outside of FFA is listening to music and band! You’ll always catch me listening to country or Michael Jackson. I’m looking forward to making this a great year and an awesome chapter! And remember, even through your darkest days, God still gives chances.”

Please help us welcome Mr. Tyler McCoy to Burleson FFA as our new Agricultural Science/Floral Teacher and Lamb & Goat Advisor!❤️🖤

For Mr. McCoy, this isn’t just a new position—it’s a homecoming. A proud Burleson High School graduate, he was a highly active Burleson FFA member who represented the chapter on a State Champion and Nationally Placing Career Development Event (CDE) team and proudly served as Burleson FFA President.

After graduating from Burleson High School, Mr. McCoy continued pursuing his passion for agriculture and FFA at West Texas A&M University, where he earned his degree in Agricultural Education.

Today, his connection to Burleson ISD continues as the proud father of Briley and Liam, who have proudly exhibited livestock through the BISD Junior FFA Program for the past several years.

Now entering his ninth year in agricultural education, Mr. McCoy brings both classroom experience and industry expertise from his time as DFW Branch Manager for Southern Floral Wholesale Company. As a Certified Texas Master Florist, he is passionate about helping students connect classroom learning with real-world careers in agriculture and floral design.

Mr. McCoy is excited to invest in the next generation of Burleson FFA members by helping students grow as leaders, develop career skills, and discover their passion for agriculture through the many opportunities FFA has to offer.

“Hi Burleson FFA! My name is Sophee Dever, and I am so excited to be joining the Burleson family as your new Agricultural Science Teacher and FFA Advisor!

I was born and raised in Arlington, Texas, and my own journey in agriculture began through FFA in high school. FFA helped me discover my passion for agriculture, leadership, and serving others, which inspired me to pursue a career in agricultural education. I recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Agricultural Education, and I am so excited to begin my first year of teaching with Burleson!

I can't wait to get to know each of you, learn and grow alongside you, and help our chapter continue to succeed. I'm looking forward to an incredible year filled with leadership, hard work, and unforgettable memories.”

Ms. Dever will be advising over Cattle, Rabbits, and Chickens! We are so excited to welcome her into our chapter! 💙💛

Last week, the Burleson FFA Officer Team had an incredible time at the 98th Annual Texas FFA State Convention! Throughout the week, our officers worked together to begin planning an exciting year for our chapter by setting goals and brainstorming ideas!

In addition to planning, the team spent time building stronger relationships through team bonding, strengthening the leadership and friendships that will help them serve our members throughout the year.

We are also proud of some of our officers who stepped out of their comfort zones and represented Burleson FFA by competing in the Junior Quiz Bowl Contest. Their hard work, dedication, and willingness to challenge themselves are a true reflection of what it means to be an officer!

We're excited to bring everything we learned back to Burleson FFA and can't wait to kick off an amazing year. Here's to a year of growth, leadership, service, and success! 💙💛

It may be summertime, but our officer team has been busy preparing and planning for this next year!

Today officers attended a live studio recording session at RFD-TV of the Rural Town Hall with the Western Caucus Foundation where they got to hear from Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Representative Celeste Maloy.
