Nola Dunn family, please welcome Kelsey Kilgore to our campus. She will be leading our new ECSE program. Her introduction is below:
Hi, Olympians!
My name is Kelsey Kilgore, and I am so excited to join the Academy at Nola Dunn the ECSE teacher! This will be my 8th year in education, and I have had the joy of working with students of all ages and abilities.
My background is in Fine Arts and Theatre Education, and I have a passion for creating fun, creative, and inclusive spaces where every student has the opportunity to shine. Outside of the classroom, I continue to teach and direct at local theaters throughout the DFW area, including all-abilities theatre classes that make the performing arts accessible to everyone.
When I’m not teaching or directing, you can usually find me performing onstage, enjoying all things Disney, seeing a musical, or hanging out with my bunny, Lionel.
I’m so happy to be an Olympian and to call Nola Dunn my new school home! I can’t wait to meet my students, celebrate all the little victories along the way, and make lots of memories together.

The Academy at Nola Dunn family would like to welcome Kimberley Phillips back.
Hello!
I am so excited to officially join the team at the Academy at Nola Dunn!
My path in education actually started right here as a substitute when my son was in kindergarten. After his 1st grade year, my husband’s military career took our family to Colorado and Minnesota, where I continued working in school offices and administrative roles. Now, we are so happy to finally be back home in Texas!
That same 1st grader is now officially a freshman at Burleson Centennial High School! Time really flies.
It’s been a sweet homecoming reconnecting with familiar faces, and I can't wait to get to know all the new staff, students, and families. Let’s make this an incredible school year!

We would like to introduce and welcome Mrs. Quisha Matthews to the Nola Dunn family.
Hi, Olympians!
My name is Quisha Matthews, and I’m excited to be joining the Special Services team this year! This will be my 11th year in education. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach 4th, 5th, and 7th grades.
My husband and I have two children: Kendall (12) and Chandler (2). In my free time, I enjoy family game nights, and singing karaoke.
I’m looking forward to getting to know all of the Olympian students and families. I’m excited for a great school year!

We had the honor of celebrating our very own Burleson ISD elementary teacher of the year last night at the Region 11 banquet, Mrs. Amber Miller. Her message below was selected to be read aloud to the audience of hundreds to encourage each of us on the impact of a teacher.
“Teaching has never been about perfection. It has always been about possibility. The possibility that one relationship, one moment of encouragement, one teacher who truly sees a child can change the direction of a life. When a child feels seen they begin to see themselves differently, they begin to believe in their own potential.”
