Mrs. Taylor’s third grade science students put their engineering skills to the test with a hands-on bridge-building challenge! Working within the constraints of limited materials and time, students were challenged to design and build a bridge strong enough to support the weight of a Hot Wheels car. Throughout the challenge, students practiced the Engineering Design Process by brainstorming ideas, creating and testing their designs, identifying problems, and making improvements. This activity encouraged creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and perseverance while making engineering concepts engaging and fun!

🌟 Hump Day Hero: Ms. Kacey! 🌟

Ms. Kacey is an incredible teammate who always has a smile on her face and loves others with her whole heart! She is uplifting and encouraging to both her students and coworkers.

Ms. Kacey is an amazing reading teacher who believes in every child and never allows her students to give up on themselves. Her kindness, positivity, and dedication make our school a brighter and better place.

We are so blessed to have Ms. Kacey at CCES! 💚💛

Our first monthly reading challenge starts today! Just color an apple each time you read for 10 minutes outside of class and keep track of what you’re reading on the back. Have your adult sign and initial the paper and turn in by September 30th. Complete 3 of the 4 monthly reading challenges before Christmas to become a Super Reader!

🌟 Hump Day Hero: Mr. John Fletcher! 🌟

Mr. John is always on the move and ready to help wherever he is needed! From delivering curriculum materials and air purifiers to classrooms to keeping our school campus and Little Panthers clean and organized, he does it all.

John takes great pride in his work and always does his job well. He greets our students with a smile, a high five, and most importantly by name. John plays such an important role in making CCES feel like family, and we are incredibly thankful for everything he does!

Congratulations, John, and thank you for being our Hump Day Hero! 💚💛🐾
