This research is exciting. I’ve seen the addiction research and read what they are doing in Alzheimer’s research. It’s worth watching this Sunday at 7pm (EST) on CBS’s 60 Minutes.
WVU advances in neuroscience featured on ‘60 Minutes’
The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute is advancing neuroscience and improving the lives of people with neurological and mental health conditions to address our most pressing challenges. The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) recently featured initial results utilizing focused ultrasound and antibody infusion to reduce brain amyloid plaques for Alzheimer’s patients.
This Sunday, Jan. 14, “60 Minutes” is scheduled to air a two-segment special featuring the work discussed in the NEJM and the never-before-released results of the RNI’s addiction efforts utilizing focused ultrasound. Watch a preview online. The episode airs at 7 p.m. ET. Clips and full episodes are available after the show at cbsnews.com/60-minutes.
You can learn more about the research and how to support the RNI at rni.wvumedicine.org.
