1. Congratulations to the 2026 Homecoming King and Queen candidates! Haley Baas, Annie Connot, Libby Krcil, Emmy Spencer, Elijah Bartling, Hudson Fuhrer, Braxton Glover and Ezekiel Koenig!
2. There is a sign up sheet on the front window of the office for anyone interested in being a part of the Bring Change 2 Mind group.
3. There is a sign up sheet on the front window of the office for anyone that would like to help with ‘Cougar News’ on the school page.
4. There will be a quick meeting for the 2026 Flag Team after school today.
5. Coach Kenzy needs size small track/cross country jerseys. Please look and see if you have any tucked away at home – and please bring them back to the school.
6. There was a ring found in the upstairs hallway – if you are missing one, please come to the office and identify it.
7. TODAY the Cross-Country team will be at the Gregory Invitational meet. The team will be dismissed at 12:55pm and leave at 1:15pm. Running will start at 2:30pm with the Varsity girls, followed by the Varsity boys, JV girls, JV boys and MS girls and boys.
8. TODAY the Lady Cougar Volleyball team will travel to Winner to play the Lady Warriors. The ‘C’ match will start at 5:00pm.
9. Wednesday, September 2nd there will be an HS Student Council meeting at 11:43am in the Commons Area.
10. Wednesday, September 2nd there will be an NHS meeting from 12:33-12:53 in Mrs. Beauchamp’s office. Please bring your lunch.
11. Wednesday, September 2nd there will be a Post Prom parent meeting in the Commons Area at 7:00pm. This will be to discuss ideas and fundraising plans for the 2027 Post Prom.
12. Thursday, September 3rd the MS and HS Lady Cougar Volleyball teams will travel to KWL Lady Wildkats at White Lake. The MS match will start at 4:15pm, JV at 6:15pm and Varsity at 7:30pm.
13. Friday, September 4th there is NO SCHOOL.
14. Friday, September 4th the Cougar Football team will host the TDA-ACDC Thunderhawks. The game will start at 7:00pm. Ticket takers are Susie Karbo, Kara Johnson, Taylor Seegers, Erika VanNieuwenhuyse and Amy Sebern.
15. Saturday, September 5th the Lady Cougar Volleyball team will be at the Gregory Invitational tournament.
16. Monday, September 7th there is NO SCHOOL in observance of the Labor Day Holiday.
17. Fall Soccer Sign Up is happening! There are two ways you can sign up - online: https://forms.gle/ntJzXMR7MNTHhper6 or turn in a paper form. Forms can be turned in the evening of the first game. Forms will not be collected at the schools this season. If you signed up in the spring for the fall season, you are all set! The first night will be Tuesday, September 15th from 5:30-6:30pm at the Bonesteel Soccer Complex. Call 402-510-0507 with any questions.
18. If you are interested in purchasing an Activities Pass for the 2026-2027 year, they are available to be purchased. Prices are the same as last year - $30 for adults, $20 for Students, $20 for Senior Citizens (60 years+) and $100 for a Family. They will be available to be purchased in the Commons Area at Thursday night’s volleyball match as well.
19. The Cougar Athletic Club Annual Membership and Sponsorship Drive is underway! The Cougar Athletic Club is excited to kick off another year of supporting Cougar Athletics and would love to have you join them! You can find the membership/sponsorship form on the website: www.cougarathleticclub.com or check out our page and add a comment to the recent membership/sponsorship post. You can also reach out to any of these current board members – Jason Hausmann, Cari Hausmann, Heather Fuhrer, Rochelle Tietgen, Tania Witt, Mandy Frank or Tamra Glover and they will be happy to get a form to you!
