Inquisiminds will open ON TIME today despite the light dusting of snow on the ground. The roads around Abiding Presence were treated yesterday afternoon around 5:00 p.m. Please make the decision that is best for your family, but we are open for business, and will see you at 9:30 a.m.!

It looks like❄️Old Man Winter❄️might make his presence known tomorrow. As a reminder, Inquisiminds does not necessarily follow Fairfax County Public Schools, as they are closed for weather related events not always appropriate for our needs (waiting for buses, etc.).

We will post our opening status here, as well as on the Inquisiminds Parent page, and send an email no later than 7:30 a.m.

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news with you—Inquisiminds is now officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization!
This designation allows our mission to grow even stronger, and it also means that donors may deduct contributions made to Inquisiminds. In addition, we are excited to qualify for additional grants as well as support from major corporations like Target, Walmart, and Costco. This financial support helps us keep tuition prices low while we continue to provide the inclusive, secular homeschool enrichment programs that are unique to our Inquisiminds community.
As we move forward, we do have an immediate need for someone to support us with taxes and bookkeeping. Compensation will be provided. If you are interested, or know someone who may be a good fit, please reach out—we would greatly appreciate the connection.
As part of the nonprofit organization, we also have four Board positions to fill before the Summer 2026 break. We look forward to sharing more information this spring.

Job opportunity available! Inquisiminds is seeking a passionate and engaging teacher for our Globetrotters program to inspire homeschoolers in grades K-4 with the wonders of geography, culture and music and movement relating to the study of Oceania. Lessons are almost all planned out and presentations are made for you to use.

The Globetrotters program runs Tuesdays and Fridays, with two different classes each week - 1, 45 minute culture and geography class and 1, 45 minute music and movement class. Additionally, the teacher will be responsible for supervising students during a 30-minute recess break and 1, 25 minute lunch break, all between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m - total of 6 hours per week. Classes are capped at 14 students. Inquisiminds operates on a traditional school year calendar - mid-September through mid-May, with a week off at Thanksgiving, one month break over the winter and a week off for spring break which corresponds with Fairfax County Public Schools.
