Well, hello! It's been four years since I last touched this page, it would seem. Lots has happened since then:

Moved to England (yay!)

Led a lovely retreat in the very north of Scotland that I'm hoping to do again eventually

Started learning Cymraeg (Welsh)

Spent most of our time in the UK hiking and camping

moved back to the US (I'd rather have stayed in the UK)

Loads more in between, but that's the gist. In all honesty, I don't really know where to go or what to do with this page. I've toyed with deleting in many times over the years but I'm not sure yet. I've grown and moved on from much of what is here but I'm not sure how to proceed with this. In the interim, enjoy the new photo updates I suppose (the view from atop the Glydrau in Ogwen Valley, Cymru, and Eka pada Koundinyasana II at the Forsinard Flows, Caithness and Sutherland Scotland, recently designated a UNESCO world heritage site for its global importance in storing carbon.

Hit a milestone in my teaching today by logging 2,000 hours taught since the completion of my initial 200 hour training in 2015, and my 300 hour in 2017.

At the end of the day, being an E-RYT 500 doesn’t make me better or more knowledgeable than anyone else. If anything for me, it just means there’s more work, more learning to be done.

Here’s to another 2,000 hours and beyond!

Finding the right words to articulate the “why” for something can be a little hard, especially when we are trying to put it as succinctly as possible so everyone’s eyes don’t glaze over before we start moving.

Here I am practicing the “why” so that I can be as direct and clear with as few “ums” and pauses before we film.

Lots of pacing and talking to myself as per usual.

I’ve spent so much time working backbends over this last couple months, I’m feeling the shift to working upper body strength and balance.

I’ve missed strength training like crazy. Part of that has been my own laziness, but I’m feeling ready to shift gears. I miss the burn, the fatigue, being humbled every time I go in to work.
