I know its a week late but TIVA 2026 is in the books. Got to meet lots of industry experts, learn a ton of new content, and I officially have word that I passed the "certified pipeline welding inspector" exam! BHS now has a pipeline inspector, plus I can test students in api 1104 standards now! Big things coming this year.

Mr. Lewis is a CTE Welding Instructor at BHS. "I believe that our ability to train and certify on-site without students ever needing to step foot in a technical college is an amazing aspect of my program. We are also versatile in the fact that we can fabricate so many objects in-house with BISD equipment. That gives us the edge!"

Career and Technical Education (CTE) plays a vital role at BHS and schools across Texas by preparing students for success beyond graduation through hands-on learning and skill development.

Congratulations to Tuesday Stiles on graduating from vernon college with her aas in welding science. I can't wait to see where her degree takes her. She got her start in our old shop and on the farm and now she's on her way to being a pro!

5th place finish for our young men! 1st in district, they killed again this year. We fell 2 spots short of state but its all good. We were stacked against 19 other area teams so id say they did great. Congrats to Early isd and mineral wells isd for their big wins this year. Go represent area 4 at state and take home a win.
