Way to go, Officer Bright!

He has mastered Bulldog Basics tenet #3- Clean Up After Yourself (and then some). Thank you for being a role model for our students!

Officer Bright, you set a beautiful example of the Bulldog Way. Yesterday at lunch, one of the cafeteria workers was not there, and Officer Bright could be found wiping down tables and doing all the things in the cafeteria! This was a great teaching opportunity for our students, on why it is important to do more than as expected! Thank you Officer Bright!

Contract Awarded!
The BISD Board of Trustees awarded the Design-Build contract for the multipurpose indoor facility last night. Construction on the facility will begin early this fall in the area that is north of the football stadium.

This facility will not only include a full football and soccer field; it will also have a three lane 300-meter track, a girls' soccer locker room, a weight room, and an area for the BHS Drone Team to practice. Multiple student groups, athletic teams, organizations, and events will benefit from this new facility.

BISD thanks our community for providing this unique opportunity.

Great news for Bulldog Nation!

As promised, even with the passage of the bond, BISD is still able to lower the total tax rate by four cents, which is more than what was proposed. This lower tax rate will save the community an estimated $3 million over the life of the bond!

Oh, the selflessness that we see on a daily basis here at John Tower! All week in PE we have been playing with some brand new colorful "sling rings." Unfortunately, today many of them fell apart, with the beads falling out all over the gym floor. At the end of class, 5th grader Maijor asked me if he could come back after school and sweep the gym for me! Wow! We have the BEST students at Tower Elementary!
