🎉💰 CONGRATULATIONS, SETH! 💰🎉

A huge congratulations to Burkburnett FFA Junior Seth Mooney for earning a $500 scholarship from the Wichita Falls PRCA Rodeo Committee through the Calf Scramble! 🐮🤠

Opportunities like the Calf Scramble are about so much more than chasing a calf across the arena—they reward hard work, determination, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.

We are incredibly proud of Seth for representing Burkburnett FFA and taking advantage of this awesome opportunity! 💙💛

Show Barn Families:

🚨 PLEASE STOP DUMPING SHAVINGS NEAR BARN 1 AND THE WASH RACK. 🚨�
I understand that it is hot and that this may seem like the easiest place to dump shavings when cleaning pens, but this needs to stop immediately. The piles are attracting flies and creating an unnecessary mess around the barns and wash rack.
I have called several times requesting a roll-off dumpster and am continuing to push to have one delivered this week. Until then, ALL shavings removed from pens need to be taken to the VERY BACK CORNER of the property. There is a large sand pile in that area—dump the shavings to the LEFT of the sand pile.
If you have already dumped shavings near Barn 1 or the wash rack, you are responsible for going back out there THIS WEEK and cleaning up what you dumped. Please do not leave it for someone else to handle.
We all use these facilities, and everyone needs to do their part to keep them clean and sanitary for our students, families, and animals.
Again: NO MORE SHAVINGS are to be dumped near Barn 1 or the wash rack. Take them to the designated area at the back of the property. Thank you.

🤠 It takes a village to raise the next generation of rodeo kids! 🐂💙

From one of our awesome show dads, Wesley Stroud, taking the time to show his son, Jacob Stroud) — one of our Jr. FFA kiddos — the ropes before Mutton Bustin’, to Noah Atkins and Kiana Schilling geared up and ready to hit the arena for the PRCA Calf Scramble, this is what it’s all about!

These moments are bigger than just a few seconds in the arena. They’re about learning, encouragement, stepping outside your comfort zone, and making memories that these kids will carry with them for years to come.

We love seeing our older students, parents, and show families supporting the next generation while our members get ready to put their skills (and speed! 😂) to the test.

💙💛 HERE’S TO A NEW SCHOOL YEAR! 💛💙

Tomorrow starts a brand-new school year, and we’re hoping for a great first day for all of our students, teachers, staff, and families! 🙏🏼

As everyone heads back, we’re wishing for safe travels, calm nerves as students walk through the doors, patience and grace for our teachers, new friendships, fresh starts, and classrooms filled with learning, laughter, and memories.

For our FFA members, we hope this year brings new opportunities, new goals, hard work, growth, and plenty of moments that remind us why we love the blue jacket. 💙🌾

Whether tomorrow is your very first day of high school or the beginning of your senior year, make it count. Be kind. Include others. Try something new. Get involved. And don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone.

Here’s to a safe, successful, and blessed first day of school and an even better year ahead!

🚨 QUALITY COUNTS REMINDER #2🚨
If you are planning to show livestock for the 2026 show season, you MUST complete your Quality Counts Certification! ✅🐐🐖🐑🐄
📌 Important Reminders:
• EACH student must create their OWN AgriLife Learn account
• Students MUST use a UNIQUE email address
• Select your correct grade level for the upcoming school year (if your student went from elementary school to Jr. High then they have to do it again as well as if they went from jr. high to high school.)
• We highly recommend enrolling in BOTH 4-H & FFA chapters
• You must pass each lesson quiz with 100% before moving on
• Final Exam requires at least an 80% to pass
📧 Once completed, you will receive your VERIFIED Quality Counts Number by email. Be sure to save or print it for your records!

Also, If your animal will be shown under 4-H instead of Burkburnett FFA, due to being at capacity, please contact Ms. Shafer so we can discuss another housing plan.
