Is it too soon for us to post about back to school? 🫣 Maybe, but this community event is just too cool not to share!

That's a wrap on the 2025-26 school year! Thank you to all the families, staff, and community members who helped make this year so meaningful for Seahurst students. With your support, the PTA ...

⭐ Helped support the Hispanic Heritage Block and paid for the Aztec dancers.

⭐ Popped popcorn for nine Popcorn Fridays.

⭐ Funded Star Store prizes to reward positive behavior and incentives to promote good attendance.

⭐ Purchased recess equipment for every classroom.

⭐ Hosted a free skate night for Seahurst families.

⭐ Funded the NOISE opera assembly.

⭐ Coordinated our first ever fun run to cover the cost of the Book Up summer reading program for K-2nd graders.

⭐ Hosted the Math Bonanza competition for 200 3rd-5th graders from across Highline.

⭐ Purchased and prepared refreshments for 5th grade Promotion.
..And so much more!

Help Seahurst PTA end the year strong: join us tomorrow night at 5:30 pm for a quick meeting to vote on next year's board members and budget. We're hoping to keep the meeting brief so we can all get home for dinner.

We need to reach quorum (10 members) to hold the vote. It's a busy time of year, but we appreciate your help setting us up for success. Thanks!

Congratulations to the mathletes who had the highest scores!

More than 200 elementary school students from across Highline Public Schools gathered at Seahurst Elementary School Friday night, June 5 to test their problem solving skills during the annual Elementary Math Bonanza.Organizers said that 219 students in grades 3 through 5 participated as "mathletes"....

It was beautiful to see over 200 3rd-5th graders from around the district practicing their math skills today at this year's Math Bonanza. Congratulations to all of our mathletes: those were some very hard questions and you should feel proud of your work!

We are grateful for the teachers who helped make this event happen, the volunteers who jumped in and helped proctor and grade tests, and especially community volunteer Tom Clymer who plans the event every year. Seeing Highline students excited about math and cheering each other on is so fun!

As the school year winds down, we have a couple of last requests!

1. Our last meeting of the year is scheduled for next Tuesday, June 9, at 5:30 PM in the cafeteria. This meeting is important because we need to vote on a budget for next year and the Board. All of our current officers have agreed to serve another term. If you have questions, concerns, or someone else you would like to nominate for a position, please contact Kim Johnson who has agreed to serve as a neutral point of contact ([email protected]).

2. Due to Field Day activities happening on Friday, June 12, we are moving Popcorn Friday activities back to June 5. If you are able to help with the last Popcorn Friday of the year, please sign up here!

What a day! Seahurst students really showed up today for our first ever jog-a-thon! We're still tallying laps ran and donations made, but we are so happy to share that we have already exceeded our goal to fund the Book Up summer reading program. THANK YOU! Additional funds raised will be used to cover the cost of community events like skate night.

Special thanks to the staff and family members who helped us today: we couldn't have done it without you! ♥️💛💙

We can't wait to see our fellow Stars tomorrow evening at Southgate Roller Rink! Doors open at 6 PM.

We are just one week out from our skate night at Southgate Roller Rink! Join the PTA on Tuesday, May 19, from 6-8 pm for fun and games as we roll around the rink. Concessions will be available for purchase. Free admission for Seahurst Families--hope to see you there!
