Summer is right around the corner, and we are planning an exciting season of fun, learning, and adventure at our BTEE ECC Summer Program 2025! Register for any number of weeks; no minimum required.

Register by March 31st and we’ll waive the registration fee.

Tot Shabbat with Teacher Allison this Friday, February 28th!

Join Teacher Allison for family friendly, child-centered Shabbat experience starting at 5:30 pm, followed by a community potluck at 6:00 pm.

The Scholastic Book Fair starts this Friday, December 13th through Thursday, December 19th in the BTEE Social Hall.

The Scholastic Book Fair gives children and families access to hundreds of affordable, popular books from the world’s top publishers, inspiring a lifelong love of reading. The Fair is a wonderful way for us to connect more children to books.

Also, choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits the ECC with much-needed funds for our school and classroom libraries!

All you need to do is drop in and shop! We will have staff/volunteers available to help you with your purchase. Checks, cash and credit cards are accepted.

PLUS Sisterhood will be selling their latkes on Dec 15th from 10am-1pm, so stop by and get some books and Hanukkah goodies while you’re at it!

Last week our preschoolers had a blast at our annual Harvest Festival! There was pumpkin carving, corn shucking, taste testing, leaves throwing, and pine cone decorating 🍂🍁🌽🍎

We hope everyone is having a great fall season!

We are so proud of our Early Childhood Center for participating in this year’s Mitzvah Mile! Leading up to the trike-a-thon, our preschoolers raised over $6,000!! The winning team was the Leopards Room 1 who raised the most money and won a popsicle party to celebrate!

Here are some photos from the trike-a-thon event. Our preschoolers rode their bikes, trikes, scooters, and even pushed strollers around our playgrounds’ race track while parents, teachers, and classmates cheered each other on! In addition to a fun race, the kids learned about community giving and the importance of kindness and generosity.

Donations from this year’s fundraiser will be used to support the Family Service Agency of Burbank and to support our own ECC Scholarship Fund. Through our scholarship fund, we provide financial assistance to families in need, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a nurturing environment.

Our preschoolers are almost halfway to their fundraising goal for this Mitzvah Mile! We’ve got a week and a half to go. Help them get there!

Mitzvah Day throughout the world is a day of social action where people volunteer to help others in their community. In honor of Mitzvah Day 2024, the children of the Burbank Temple Emanu El Early Childhood Center are collecting tzedakah (donations) for a local charity through their Mitzvah Mile fundraiser on November 1st, 2024.

This trike-a-thon event is dedicated to community giving and teaching our children the importance of kindness and generosity. During the Mitzvah Mile, our preschoolers ride their bikes, trikes, and scooters around our playgrounds’ race track while parents, teachers and classmates cheer each other on!

Donors are asked to sponsor a child’s team (classroom) by making a monetary contribution through our secure fundraising platform Givebutter. The team that raises the most money gets a popsicle party!

A portion of the donations received will be allocated to support the Family Service Agency of Burbank which treats the emotional and mental wellbeing of children and families through counseling and education.

Additional funds will support our own ECC Scholarship Fund. Our preschool is committed to making high-quality early childhood education accessible to all families. Through our scholarship fund, we provide financial assistance to families in need, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a nurturing environment.

Please join us April 13th for an exclusive musical performance from our very own ECC parent as he delivers an introspective song cycle about the pitfalls and promises of middle age.

His latest album In the Middle of Something drops next month and he is inviting us all to come and share in his midlife crisis with a night of music, comedy, wine, cheese and maybe some moments of clarity.
