At Apollo Academy, we recognize how important it is for children in the diaspora to maintain their connection to the Armenian language. Our program is designed to make learning Armenian natural, consistent, and engaging — without pressure or overcomplication.
Here’s how we approach it:
🔤 Age-Appropriate, Play-Based Learning
We tailor our methods to each age group, using songs, stories, movement, and games so that children learn through play and everyday context.
📚 Focus on Speaking, Reading & Writing
We work on all three aspects from the beginning. Children start using Armenian actively — speaking during activities, recognizing letters through storytelling, and gradually learning to write.
🧠 Language in Context
Rather than isolated vocabulary lists, we teach Armenian through themes and topics children can relate to ensure better understanding and retention.
💬 Conversation-Centered Approach
Kids are encouraged to speak and listen in Armenian as much as possible. We use everyday dialogue, role play, and questions to help them apply what they learn.
🌍 Supportive Diaspora-Friendly Environment
We understand the unique challenges of learning Armenian outside Armenia. Our classrooms are welcoming and supportive, making language learning enjoyable and pressure-free.
