In Comedy or Drama: Find the energized reason of the character's emotional state in order to keep the scene driving and moving.

In Comedy: The more specific we are, the easier it is to make unique choices that bring out our unique essence while fulfilling the material.

Take Aways: Seeing the scene clearly. Don't allow your sense of self to preclude you from seeing the scene clearly and making choices.

Take Away: Make choices to respect the writing. Use what the writers have given the character - the specific language, specific words. It is what tells us what is going on in the scene, we can make our specific choices that then support what is on the page.
