My mission:

With the amount of art programs being cut in Illinois, I would like to offer my time and knowledge about art to develop the creativity that is crucial for critical thinking skills. I will travel to your home to give private lessons for you, your children and anyone else who would be interested in individualized art instruction. Just like vegetables are a healthy part of our diet, art is a healthy way to give yourself the gift to be creative. And, while we may not know if we like certain vegetables at first, it is important to try. Art is beneficial to developing a well-rounded education and we can learn a lot about ourselves in the process. I am a liscensed art teacher in the State of Illinois and certified to teach grades 6-12. I have experience working with younger students as well as more mature adults. If you are interested in private art lessons, a curriculum can be customized to meet your needs and desires to learn about art. I have experience in Acryllic Painting techniques, Watercolor, Multimedia, Book- Making, Charcoal, Graphite, Oil Pastel, Colored Pencil, and Clay.
