September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.
This Wednesday, September 9th, we will wear yellow or gold shirts to honor the incredible strength of the young fighters, celebrate the survivors, and support families to show them they are never in this fight alone.

📸🎓 CLASS OF 2027 — GRADUATION PHOTO DAY!

Senior year is moving right along, and it’s time for Graduation Photos! 💙🎓

⏰ 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 South Plaquemines High School

JWP Studio will provide the cap & gown, drape, tuxedo, and tie.

📲 Seniors, please scan the QR code on the flyer to register and update your contact information before picture day.

💰 SENIOR FEE REMINDER:
The first set of senior fees is now due. A portion of this payment goes toward your graduation photo sitting fee, so please make sure your payment is turned in.

IMPORTANT PHOTO DAY REMINDERS:

👩🏽 Ladies: Please wear a spaghetti-strap tank top and a regular bra (NO sports bras). Stud or pearl earrings are preferred. Please arrive with your hair and makeup already done and photo-ready.

👨🏽 Gentlemen: Please wear a plain white short-sleeve T-shirt with NO graphics. Please arrive groomed and photo-ready.

⏰ All seniors should come prepared and ON TIME so that we can keep sessions running smoothly.

Our senior young men are stepping up as mentors to help guide our junior high students with confidence, discipline, and brotherhood. Through real conversations and shared experiences, they’re encouraging them to make smart choices, stay focused, overcome challenges, and become leaders on campus.

It takes a village, and we’re building it one young man at a time. 💪🏾

Our Hurricanes enjoyed a special Chick-fil-A lunch! We love being able to bring a little something extra to campus and give our students a lunch they can look forward to. 🌪️💙

🩺💙 Exploring Careers in Healthcare!

Our 10th grade students had the opportunity to attend an interest meeting for Ochsner Health’s L.A.U.N.C.H. Program!

Through L.A.U.N.C.H., students can begin exploring a variety of healthcare career pathways while still in high school. The program provides career awareness, professional development, work-based learning opportunities, and an in-person field trip to Ochsner Health, with opportunities continuing through 11th and 12th grade and beyond.

We’re excited to expose our Hurricanes to opportunities that can help them begin planning for their futures! 🌪️🩺
