Our Pre School and Pre-K classes enjoyed our Fall field trip to Vollmer Farm on the 17th! We learned about and planted some micro greens. We enjoyed a ride 🚜 around the farm, helped make some butter 🧈 , learned about chickens 🐓 and held a baby chick 🐤! We also got to see a turkey 🦃 but he was too tired to get up. Of course we loved playing in the back forty after we ate our lunch!

Helping Hands Childcare is hiring!
Looking for experienced teachers who love working with children, sharing God's love with them, and working in a small faith based center.
Benefits include 1/2 priced tuition for your own children, 9 paid holidays & personal/vacation time earned after 6 months of employment and all required trainings are paid for by the center.
Requirements include being 18+, at least 2 years experience working in licensed childcare centers, prefer education in early childhood education or similar, must be able to complete or already have background check from NC Division of Child Development, and able to get a physical and TB test/screening done.

Yall know this is one of my very few soapboxes that I get on. I have a BS in Child Development and been working at the same childcare center for almost 16 years. I have moved up from part time to full time and then to Director and I currently make about what anyone could make in retail or fast food when they start their job....

The crisis is urgent: parents can't afford to pay more, programs can't afford to stay open, & teachers can't afford to work for such low wages. It's time to invest in !
Tell the it’s time for ! We’re taking action for:
✅ Better wages for teachers
✅ Affordable care for kids and families
✅ Sustainable funding for providers
Everyone knows someone who depends on , but we can’t depend on our current system to survive under these conditions any longer. It's time to come together for change!

Christian-based childcare center with small class sizes in Bunn, NC wants to add 1 more full-time teacher and 1 more part-time teacher to our team. Benefits include half priced childcare for your own children, payscale based on experience and education background in early childhood education, 9 paid holidays & 1 week each for vacation and personal time after employed for 6 months, and all required trainings are paid for by the center.
Candidate must be able to do an in-person interview with director, pass a criminal background check from the Division of Child Development (or already have a qualification letter), obtain a physical and TB test/screening, and, of course, enjoy working with children!

Bunn UMC will be distributing Thanksgiving food boxes on November 18, from 10am until noon. Only those with a reserved box will be able to pick one up that day. All boxes MUST be picked up by noon.
