Musselman Middle School Musselman Middle School is located in Bunker Hill in southern Berkeley County

Musselman Middle serves approximately 710 students in grades 6 through 8 and employs approximately 90 faculty and staff members. The school population passes from three elementary schools, Valley View, Bunker Hill, Inwood Primary and through one intermediate school Mill Creek Intermediate to MMS. Once our students have completed their middle school education, they move on to Musselman High School.

Drunk goggles are always a highlight in Health class! 🥽🚦

Students put their coordination to the test by walking in a straight line and navigating their “cars” (scooters!) around a stop sign while wearing the goggles. 🛴

These hands-on activities helped our Applemen better understand the importance of making safe, responsible choices on and off the road! 🍎💚

What a way to finish the Cross Country season! 🏃‍♀️🏃

Last Thursday, we wrapped up our final home meet of the season and celebrated our 8th Grade Night.

🏆 Boys— 1st Place!

Students shared that Mrs. Moreland is kind, helpful, fair, and always willing to support them. They appreciate the way she makes learning fun and engaging, creates a positive classroom environment, and takes the time to make sure everyone understands the material. ❤️

What’s Happening at MMS? 👀

Last week, our Health students had the opportunity to learn from some special guest speakers! 🙌

💙 Too Good for Drugs visited MMS to talk with our students about important topics including drugs and alcohol, refusal skills, healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, managing stress and emotions, and choosing positive friends.

Students didn’t just listen—they got to participate in skits and hands-on activities to practice the skills they were learning and apply them to real-life situations! 🎭

Thank you to Too Good for Drugs for spending time with our Applemen and helping our students build the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy choices! 🍎💚

What’s Happening at MMS? 👀

This week, our students were putting their creativity, teamwork, and school spirit on display! 🙌

🔬 In 6th Grade Science, students took on an Engineering Design Challenge: build the tallest tower using ONLY 25 notecards! Students had to use creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork to see just how tall they could build! 🏗️📚

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Our Cross Country teams had a great meet, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams finishing 2nd overall! 🎉 We also saw lots of new personal records for times! We’re so proud of the hard work our runners are putting in. Even better, our girls showed some awesome team spirit by running alongside the other boys’ team as they finished!

Way to go, Applemen! 💚❤️

This week, our after-school clubs officially launched, and we’re excited to see so many students getting involved! 🙌

From Golf Club, Yearbook, Core Crew, Kindness Club, Robotics, Tutoring, WyldLife, and more, there are lots of opportunities for students to connect, learn something new, and have fun after school!

⛳️ Featured: Golf Club kicked off on Monday with a great turnout! We’re excited to see where this group goes this season!
