đ±đ¶ïž Talk about farm-to-table... or should we say farm-to-cafeteria!
Mr. Lewis Foote and his Agriculture students at Community High School are putting hands-on learning into action! Thanks to CHSâs USDA Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification, students are able to grow, harvest, and serve produce from their own school garden right in the cafeteria.
For a recent Nacho Day, that meant fresh, student-grown jalapeños made their way from the CHS garden straight to the lunch line! đ¶ïžđ§
Along the way, students are gaining real-world experience in agriculture, food safety, sustainability, and the journey food takes from seed to plate.
Way to grow, CHS! đ±đ
