Ms. Jennifer Ford has dedicated countless hours of volunteer service to the citizens of Louisa County through her work with the Holly Grove Volunteer Rescue Squad, and tonight, the Louisa County Board of Supervisors recognized her for this selfless service. In addition to her emergency response duties, she has helped train and inspire future emergency medical professionals. She exemplifies the highest ideals of volunteerism and we thank her, and all the volunteers of Holly Grove Volunteer Rescue Squad for the dedication to emergency medical response.

Friday afternoon, Chief Bryant and squad member B. Oakes participated in an event at Lake Anna Food Lion for the annual First Responders Appreciation Ceremony.

Students from all 4 LCPS elementary schools created and distributed more than 400 Thank You cards and letters to our local heroes.

Each September 11, we’re reminded of the courage and sacrifice of First Responders — and of the importance of thanking those who serve our communities every single day.

👏 Another successful EVOC training in the books!
A huge thank you to Chief Bryant for instructing another Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) training session. Our trainees put their skills to the test by navigating the course in Wagon 4, Rescue 4-4, and Rescue 4-3, building the confidence and experience needed to safely respond when our community calls.
This training wouldn't have been possible without the support of our community partners. Thank you to:

Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation and honor the freedoms we enjoy because of the courage and sacrifice of so many.

As you gather with family and friends to enjoy cookouts, parades, and fireworks, we encourage everyone to celebrate safely:
🎆 Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
🚗 Never drink and drive—designate a sober driver.
💧 Stay hydrated, especially during the summer heat.
❤️ Keep an eye on children, older adults, and pets throughout the day's festivities.

🎓 **Graduate Spotlight: Congratulations, E. Luther!** 🚑

We are proud to recognize E. Luther for an incredible achievement! After joining the squad as a junior, she successfully completed this year's EMT course and passed the NREMT—all before graduating from high school.

Throughout her time with us, she has demonstrated outstanding motivation, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help others. These qualities have contributed greatly to her success, and we are grateful to have had her as part of our squad family.

This fall, E. will begin an exciting new chapter as she starts college. We wish her continued success in all that lies ahead!
