Bracken Christian School Alumni

The new Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program is launching, giving parents more choices through an Education Savings Account (ESA).
•Minimum $10,474 per student (flier rounds up), for eligible private school tuition
•Up to $30,000 for students with disabilities (including dyslexia and autism)
$2,000 for home-schooled participants
•Covers tuition, uniforms, meals, tutoring, therapies, and more!
Bracken will be hosting another meeting in January. Open to all Bracken families and the community. Applications open February 4th!

It’s time to put the spotlight on our seniors!

📚 96% of our seniors have already been accepted into four-year colleges, with the remaining 4% awaiting decisions.

💰 They’ve earned $2.5M+ in scholarships so far, and we know this number will continue to grow!

We couldn’t be prouder of their hard work, dedication, and incredible achievements. Way to go, Class of 2024! 🎉

It was a joy to see so many familiar faces at Homecoming last week! We had several of our alumni and Bracken’s founder, Betty Kight as special guests at Homecoming!

CONGRATS to Paul Nakalanga, Bracken Alum Class of 2019! 🎉

Paul became a U.S. Citizen on July 29, 2024. 🇺🇸 He and his wife, Emily (Bradner), Bracken Alum Class of 2018, and their 2-year-old daughter are overjoyed!

James Schroeder, a 2023 Bracken alumni, spoke to our NHS members this past month about the tragic accident he sustained and his faith in God through his recovery. He is a walking miracle after being paralyzed from the neck down and we were so blessed to have him come speak, and share his journey. “I’m not done yet” is a motto he coined after his neurosurgeon asked to share his story. He has since added “God is not done with me” because he knows that He is still working in his life, getting better each day. Our school and so many others have been praying for James and his family and we are thrilled to see him walking and talking!
