Miles started training with us when he was just 5 years old and spent nearly a decade on our mats. While his path eventually shifted toward other pursuits, every one of those transitions was intentional and added another layer to who he is becoming.
Over the years, I’ve watched Miles develop into a musician, steer wrestler, multi-sport athlete, and a young man who consistently chooses character over convenience.
What stands out most isn’t what he’s done—it’s who he is.
In a culture that often celebrates talent first, Miles understands that lasting success begins with character. I remember when he was recognized by Comal ISD for his outstanding character and his belief that something as simple as a good handshake can be the beginning of respect, trust, and opportunity.
That’s a lesson many people spend a lifetime trying to learn; Miles got it in Elementary School as a result of great parents! Congrats Dad and Mom!
Even after stepping away from regular training, Miles and his family never really left. They have always remained connected to our academy, our culture, and our mission. He’s been a supporter of Josiah, an encourager to others, and a reminder that the relationships built through years of consistent connection often matter more than the training itself.
At Inochi, our mission has never been to simply produce athletes. It’s to help develop whole and healthy individuals who Live Life on Purpose and Never Quit.
Miles is a reflection of that mission…
As he graduates and steps into the next chapter, the door is wide open. His talents will create opportunities, but it is his integrity that will sustain them.
I’ve been blessed and am grateful to have been allowed to be a small part of his foundation and growth, and I look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes in the years ahead.
