Yesterday afternoon around 1:00, I met someone at my range to help improve their shooting technique. I arrived a little early to set things up, and for about thirty minutes I sat there alone on the range ….not shooting, not building, not cleaning up ….just quietly enjoying a beautiful day.
As I looked around, I realized I was sitting on a small range in the middle of a vast pine forest under perfect weather. It struck me just how small I am compared to the whole of creation. It’s humbling.
From a mile above, I probably wouldn’t even appear as the tiniest dot. Yet the Lord knows exactly where I am and exactly what I need. His Word tells me He has numbered the hairs on my head (and for the record, that number seems to get smaller every day), and that He hears my voice when I cry out to Him.
As I looked back toward my home, I realized how truly blessed I am. Thank You, God, for not giving me what I deserve, but instead giving grace, mercy, and blessings beyond measure.
