π π π We are so proud of our newest graduate, Chansis Crayton! πΎ π β€οΈ
Chansis enrolled as a senior at Pride Academy as the fall semester began and although we will miss her bright smile and positive attitude, we know she has goals to accomplish!
When asked if there was anyone she would like to thank for being special to her and helping her succeed throughout her school years, Chansis immediately thought of her mom and grandma. She shared that she was also grateful to her closest friends, Mrs. Owens, and all of her Pride educators.
Described by her Pride teachers as "personality-plus", Chansis loved being a student at Bullard. She wrote, "I loved meeting new people with different personalities than mine. It was special to create lasting friendships with these people." The relationships she has built with so many friends will always be her favorite memories of these years.
Chansis was part of the Bullard Buzz news program at Bullard High School, which is student-produced and filmed. The program is a campus favorite with both students and teachers. Chansis appreciated Mr. Monahan's guidance in the class and all that she learned while being part of this busy group.
As her senior year began, Chansis decided a change was in order. She decided to apply for Pride Academy to finish her education. (It was a very easy, unanimous vote of "Yes!" from our committee!) According to Chansis, Pride Academy was the perfect fit for her. "It's a place with the opportunity to gain a family, to have support, and it's a great help to set up your future plans", she said. We have been thankful that Chansis chose our program! Her ever-present smile made everyone's day a bit brighter, and her kindness to each student was such a positive example for us all.
Chansis will begin her post-high school studies at Tyler Junior College in August and plans to enter their radiology program. Her goal is to become an x-ray and radiology technician. Her positive nature will no doubt be a blessing to any medical practice lucky enough to employ her.
A quote that Chansis chose to reflect on says, "Instead of being upset about what you went through, be proud of everything you have overcome."
WE are so proud of YOU, Chansis! π₯° Never stop striving for the very best, for your potential is so great. We are thankful for your time with us at Pride and wish you much success in the years ahead.
