Love young readers who are interested, ask questions, write down thoughts, share insights and are just wonderful people to be around! 😍

We are having a great time exploring all about horses while 'digging deeper' with "A Horse to Love." So blessed to be able to share this experience with them!

Funny story and 'learning in the moment': One of our horses had an itch and began to scratch his rump on the door. Usually, this subsides, but he was pretty intense and was swishing his tail, which isn't 'normal' usually. Upon closer inspection, an embedded tick under his tail was discovered! Instant relief when removed.

It's always good to take the time and pay close attention to a horse's behavior. "Read them like a book!" 😊 -Jennie & The Herd 🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴

"Grandsire?"--yep! That is the correct vocabulary for a horse's 'Grandfather!'

The photo below was my mare's Grandsire, "G*i Marquis." He was the reference stallion for https://www.lotusbloodstock.com/ Lotus Bloodstock Arabians.

Who knew when I was only 17 years old that his son, "Marquis G*i Drummer" would sire one of the best horses to raise from birth to passing (35 years)! What a journey and one that will never be forgotten. The Lord definitely had a plan!
