🔴 Happy Dot Day in Library! 🔵

Today we celebrated International Dot Day in library, inspired by The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. The story reminds us that sometimes all it takes is a little courage to make a mark, try something new, and see where our creativity can take us.

We had so much fun putting this idea in action.

📖 Read The Dot
🎨 Created our own dot art
⏱️ Took on a 3 minute dot challenge
🔴 And had a school-wide guessing competition to see who could guess how many “dots” were in the jar.

🏆Congratulations to our winner, who guessed exactly 63 dots in the jar! They got it perfectly.
Our close second place guess was 70 dots!

What a wonderful first day of school! 🤍🍎

Our classrooms were filled with excited smiles, new friends, and lots of learning. We are so thankful to begin another school year together and, most importantly, to start it with God at the center.

We celebrated the “wedding” of Q and U in our Pre-K classroom! 💍

This fun activity helps students learn that Q and U often work together to make the /kw/ sound in words like “queen” and “quick.” Through this playful celebration, children are building important phonics and letter recognition skills while having fun.

We love bringing learning to life in creative and meaningful ways!
