Happy Fall Break!

We are excited to recognize our October Teacher of the Month, Mr. Nick Libera!

Mr. Libera has been teaching for 14 years and is in his 3rd year at Old Suwanee Christian School. He loves teaching at OSCS because he enjoys watching students grow spiritually, academically, and athletically. One of his favorite things about his students is their willingness to learn.

A favorite classroom tradition of Mr. Libera’s is having the opportunity to pray together before each lesson. He is thankful for the privilege of incorporating faith into the classroom and pointing students toward Christ each day.

One Bible verse that has been especially meaningful to him as a teacher is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” This verse reminds him that Christ gives us the strength to persevere through each day, forgive others, and love others.

We are grateful for Mr. Libera’s dedication to his students and his commitment to Christ-centered education and coaching. Thank you for all you do at OSCS, Mr. Libera!

Our 3rd–5th grade students are enjoying After-School Chess Club, where they are learning strategy, critical thinking, patience, and problem-solving skills—all while having fun with their friends!

Every game is a new opportunity to think ahead, make a plan, and, of course, celebrate a good checkmate! ♟️

Nursing Club at OSCS!

At Old Suwanee Christian School, we love giving our students opportunities to discover how God has uniquely gifted them and explore how they can use those gifts to serve others. Through Nursing Club, students gain hands-on experience, learn about healthcare, and develop skills that can be used to care for and encourage those around them.

We’re thankful for opportunities to prepare the next generation to serve others with compassion, excellence, and a Christ-centered heart. ✝️🩺

Our elementary students are getting creative and crafty! We love watching their imaginations come to life as they create, explore, and proudly show off their one-of-a-kind projects. What a joy to see our students learning through creativity!

🔬 Science in Action! 📏

Our 8th graders put their skills to work in the lab by building their own clinometers and learning how science and math can be used to measure height and angles!

Meanwhile, our Juniors and Seniors practiced their measuring skills by creating their own duct tape rulers. From building to measuring, students were learning through hands-on experiences while working together to solve problems.

Mrs. Hicks loves science—and even more, she loves seeing our students work together, think creatively, and put their learning into action! We love seeing this kind of hands-on learning at OSCS!
