We made bubbles!! šŸ«§āœØ

We love how they turned out!

Happy technique Tuesday! Weā€™re talking about color harmony and a technique I use with my middle and high school students called the ā€œmother colorā€.

This concept was famously popularized by 20th-century landscape artist Edgar Payne. Like children sharing traits with a parent, every color in the artwork shares a small piece of the mother color, which ties the whole piece together.

What future project should I use this for?? Let me know down below!

How much does a giraffeā€™s heart weigh? šŸ¦’ā¤ļø The answer may surprise you!

A giraffe has the highest documented blood pressure of any land animalā€”it has to, in order to pump blood about six feet up to its brain! And its heart is about the size of a basketball! šŸ€

We learned so many fun giraffe facts this week while working on our giraffe projects, and I canā€™t wait to show you how they turned out!

For a little experiment, I weighed a stack of books equal to the weight of a giraffeā€™s heart and let the students guess how much it weighed. šŸ“š

Now itā€™s YOUR turn!

šŸ¦’ā¤ļø Can you guess how much a giraffeā€™s heart weighs?

Comment with your best guess below! šŸ‘‡
