Happy School Nurse Day! 🩺
Today we celebrate our amazing Nurse Christy…truly one of the best! She pays close attention to every detail, keeps a watchful eye on multiple students with diabetes, and always makes sure everyone is safe and well cared for.
She’s the one we all get a little worried about when she has to be out, because her presence brings so much comfort and confidence to our school. She helps everyone feel a little safer every single day. We know we are always in good hands, and our kids are going to be taken care of.
Nurse Christy has a special gift for noticing the small things. Sometimes the very things that can save a child’s life. That kind of care and dedication does not go unnoticed.
We love you, Christy! Thank you for everything you do for our students and staff!

Happy National Principal Day to the one and only Principal Celli!
We are so thankful for the joy, kindness, and leadership you bring every single day. You are always up for anything that puts a smile on our students’ faces, and that kind of heart makes a lasting difference. Your passion for seeing the best in everyone inspires both students and staff to be better, kinder, and more confident.
Thank you for leading with love, lifting others up, and making our school such a special place. We appreciate you!

This has been a wonderful week of celebration at FES! Yesterday, Friendship was awarded the Literacy Leader distinction by the Georgia Department of Education. We are so incredibly proud of the hard work of our students and teachers. It was an honor to be presented the award by State Superintendent, Richard Woods.
We also celebrated having the lowest Truancy rate in the county. This data point is particularly special to us because we understand that students need to be present to learn, and we also know that students will enjoy coming to school in a building where they know they are loved, supported and championed. We LOVE our students and we miss them when they’re not here. Parents, THANK YOU for getting them here every day (even on those tough mornings!). We couldn’t have met this goal without your support and trust, and we do not take that for granted.
Tomorrow, we will celebrate our students’ amazing growth on their MAP assessments with a HUGE water balloon party during their Specials classes. Collectively, our students earned 8,000(!!!!!!) water balloons!
Thank you to all our community members for making Friendship the incredibly special place that it is!
