USHA Announces First Global Human Rights Conference to Highlight Persecution of 3.2 Billion Voiceless People Worldwide
The United States Hindu Alliance (USHA) announces plans to organize the first global human rights conference to highlight the persecution of 3.2 billion voiceless people worldwide, including Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains, Taoists, Romas and various native traditions of Asia, Africa and the Americas. HREEM 2019, which will bring together human rights leaders from around the world, representing various countries, ethnicities and religious traditions to work collectively to protect the rights and interests of this vast population, will be held in Atlanta at Gokuldham from December 6 to 8, 2019.
âThe magnitude of persecution against such a vast and diverse population has gone unnoticed for decades and it is time to take decisive actions to protect human rights through collective effortâ, said Gokul Kunnath, President of USHA. HREEM, USHAâs human rights project, is an acronym for Human Rights Education and Empowerment Mission. USHA strives to educate all about widespread persecution around the world and empower the affected voiceless populations so that they could prevent becoming victims in the future.
Several initiatives will be launched at the conference to protect and promote human rights worldwide. Prominent human rights leaders and supporters will be honored at the global event.
âVarious religious, ethnic, humanitarian and human rights groups as well as governmental agencies from around the world are supporting this historic eventâ, said Archana Iyer Sunil, the Chair for the conference. âWe are actively soliciting support from all who sympathize with the plight of these voiceless victim populations around the worldâ, she added.
Dr. Ved Prakash Nanda, internationally recognized human rights champion, jurist and academician will be the Chief Guest at the event. Many other eminent personalities from the world of human rights are expected to grace the conference.
