Hi Buffalo! 👋🏽 

I wanted to take a moment to (re)introduce myself and Moon Rock Music 🎸 🌙 

I’m bean — a local musician & composer, father & husband, and the founder of Moon Rock Music. I’ve been teaching private lessons for 20 years, and I’m coming up on 10 years as a middle school music teacher.

Over time, that experience has grown into something bigger — a music school with 5 incredible instructors, all focused on making lessons FUN, engaging, and confidence-building - serving Buffalo and WNY.

And we truly mean it when we say we work with everyone — we have students of ALL ages!

Here’s what that looks like at Moon Rock Music:
• individual lessons (guitar, piano, drums, vocals, bass, ukulele, and more)
• rock band sessions (a favorite around here)
• songwriting & recording

At the heart of it all, our goal is simple — to make music FUN.

Whether you’re a Buffalo parent thinking about lessons for your child, or you’ve been wanting to start (or restart) yourself, we’d love to welcome you in!

🎸✨ We are SO EXCITED to welcome Chelsea to the Moon Rock Music family! ✨🎸

Chelsea brings incredible enthusiasm, experience, and talent to our already amazing team of instructors—and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board!

She’ll be joining us as a guitar instructor, helping students of all levels grow their skills, confidence, and love for music. 🎶

Here’s a bit more about her:

Other projects: Chelsea has a career in radio hosting regional music programs, beginning at SUNY Fredonia with the creation of WCVF’s The Local LoDown before getting a job at Alt Buffalo and becoming the host of Localized during the 2010’s. Currently, she is the host of The Scene on BTPM the Bridge, a program that showcases artists based in Buffalo and Toronto.

We’re still riding high from our Moon Rock Music concert last Sunday 🤘✨

So incredibly proud of our musicians—not just for how they performed, but also for the dedication, teamwork, and heart they brought to every rehearsal leading up to the show. Watching their confidence grow and seeing them support one another on stage is what it’s all about!

Huge thank you to all the families, friends, and supporters who came out to cheer them on—you made the day even more special!

We’re so STOKED for our big WINTER ROCK BAND CONCERT tomorrow!! Here’s our details:

 The concert is FREE and open to everyone, so bring your friends, family, neighbors — anyone who loves live music.

For years, Moon Rock Music students have been writing and recording their own original songs. I believe creative songwriting is one of the most FUN and rewarding things a musician can do!

So, we’re officially offering a 90 minute WRITE.RECORD.RELEASE. session for the first 2 weeks of April:

🔥 In just 90 minutes, you will:

✍️ Write your own original song
🎙️ Record it in a real studio setting
🎨 Create your own album artwork
🚀 Release it on streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music & more!)

👥 All ages welcome

🎶 No experience needed — just bring your creativity!

🎤 Record solo or bring a friend!
