It has been almost a year since we officially became PILGRIMS of El Camino de Santiago! Tomorrow is a 24 h Giving Day and I’m asking you to consider giving to support student athletes to help them to participate in this amazing study abroad opportunity. Last Borders & Migrations Event for Fall 2023
The Permanent Chair of Polish Culture and the Borders & Migrations Initiative at Canisius University will host a screening of segments of Buffalo: City of Refuge, a documentary featuring interviews with local Polish emigres, produced by Olga Mazurkiewicz & Z Collective with reaction and commentary from a panel of emigres who have made Buffalo their home from places like Rwanda, Ukraine, Myanmar, and Kenya, among others.
The event will be Wednesday, November 15th at 3:00 p.m. in the Learning Lab on the main floor or the Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library on the University’s campus, 2001 Main Street, 14208 at 3:00 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public with a reception following the screening. On campus parking and street parking is available.

For students, faculty, staff, and alumni . . . and friends :

There will be a trip to Cuba January 2-14. As a student you can register for it for 1-3 credits in the Spring. No prior knowledge of Spanish required. Open to all. Information in flyer. This trip is culture/history based.

There will also be a short term program (4 and a half weeks) in Mexico in May/June. Can earn up to 6 credits. No prior knowledge of Spanish required. This is also open to all: faculty, students, staff, alumni, and friends. This trip is focused on language classes, as well as cooking, dancing, and cultural excursions.
