The CSI staff and I hope you find our school to be a welcoming environment that provides an enriching curriculum, geared toward meeting the highest standards of educational excellence. Our philosophy is to educate the “whole child,” to help students become life-long learners and productive citizens. Inquiry is the method CSI uses to teach all areas of the curriculum – reading, math, science, socia

l studies, art, music, and physical education. Your child will work in groups with teachers and their classmates to explore, investigate, question, analyze – all activities designed to teach them to think critically and problem-solve. These are the skills that educators and employers say are needed to succeed in the 21st century. Literacy is CSI’s primary instructional focus. There is probably no other skill that’s as important to your child’s academic success as learning to read. With your help and reinforcement at home, we will ensure that your child has strong skills in reading, writing, and comprehension so they are prepared to do higher level work. Your boys and girls -- our young scholars -- will demonstrate their best efforts every day and will have fun while they are learning! CSI’s teachers are ready to give their very best efforts every day. Our staff works as a collaborative team, focused on improving students’ progress, finding new ways to make learning meaningful and fun.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of walking through the doors on the first day of school!

The excitement. The smiles. The hugs. The high fives. And those little moments that remind us just how special a school community can be.

Dr. Peek, Head of School, was there to welcome students, share in their excitement, and make sure they knew they were right where they belonged.

Our hallways were filled with smiles, laughter, excitement, and so many happy faces. We are so grateful to our amazing students, families, teachers, and staff for making the first day of school so special.
