After six months of mentorship with my teacher Myra Lewin , I’m seeing clients one-on-one as an Ayurvedic health counselor at Hale P**e. It’s truly a dream come true.
In this time, I’ve witnessed the lives of our clients and students completely transform through the teachings of Ayurveda. They’ve reported long-standing health symptoms melting away, a calm and clear mind, and that they’ve stepped into a more empowered and confident way of being.
I’m honored to provide enhanced tools, herbal formulas, and community support and programs to my current and new clients as a part of the team.
This last month I also had the opportunity to visit the Hale P**e team in Bali! Wow — it was my first international travel since 2019 and my first time away from my son Theo for more than a day.
This trip was such a gift. I faced many fears and learned to live in harmony with nature...literally. I had a pet spider the size of my fist that lived in my shower!
I’m delighted for this next chapter of my journey, and honored to support others to experience vibrant health and harmony.

Why do legumes and split peas make you bloat?
From a Western perspective: it's the oligosaccharides - little sugars our body finds difficult to digest.
From an Āyurvedic perspective: legumes are astringent and bitter, making them more cleansing in nature. As they move through the digestive tract, their “cleansing” action moves air in the colon, causing bloating and gas.
You might notice you're particularly sensitive to beans, legumes, and peas during the pre-menstrual and menstruation phases of your cycle.
If you experience bloating due to beans - I have the recipe for you! It's my bloat-free split pea soup. The special method I use to prepare the beans, combined with strategies from Āyurveda to support better digestion, leads to a split pea soup you can love without any digestive difficulties.
(Pro tip: switch out the split peas for your favorite lentil or bean for the same, digestion-loving effect!).
The full recipe is on my blog - click the link in my bio to get there or head directly to spirocollective.com/bloat-free-split-pea-soup-recipe .

If you're taking hormonal birth control, the best way to keep your body health is to support your liver.
Your liver has to process the hormones in the birth control, so if it's struggling, you end up with excess hormones and more side effects during and after taking birth control.
The slides above share a few of my favorite ways to support liver health - no concoctions or cleanses needed. Which one are you going to try first?

One more time for the doc in the back...
Hormonal birth control doesn't fix problems.
Anyone else get prescribed hormonal birth control at a young age due to
👉acne
👉irregular periods
👉heavy bleeding
👉PCOS
👉Endo
👉PMS
👉absent periods
...something else?
Me, too 🤦♀️
Hormonal birth control doesn't fix problems, it masks symptoms.
Yes, it seems like your skin is better and your bleeding is "regular", but the underlying imbalances that caused the problems in the first place are just continuing to fester.
For true relief, you need a holistic analysis of your diet and lifestyle. There are simple and practical solutions - NATURAL solutions - that can bring you the relief you crave. 🥰
What symptoms do you want to be free from? Let me know in the comments, and I'll reply to let you know if Āyurveda has a solution to your woes.
Hop on a free strategy call with me if you're ready to learn more about getting rid of those pesky (or debilitating) symptoms for good.

Did you know this?!?
One of the simplest things we can do to support more easeful menstruation is be gentler on our senses. Turn down the lights and the music, reduce the spice in your cooking, and spend time in peaceful environments (supporting your sight).
Our bodies are in a more sensitive heightened state during menstruation, so these actions help to balance us out and reduce stress in the body.
(Remember....stress is the number one thing that's messing up your period!!)
Does this resonate with your experience?? Let me know in the comments.
And if you're wanting easier, pain-free menstruation without meds...book a strategy call with me. How many do you experience? 🤔
Let me know in the comments below.
Let's be clear: I don't think that having a 28 day cycle makes your period perfect or healthy. I want you to be experiencing minimal fatigue, PMS, and no pain. But these are some baseline signs that your period is on the right track.
If you're not experiencing these signs...have no fear. There are natural solutions to help you. I'm thinking of my client who had 20 day cycles for YEARS. Nothing was working to lengthen them, including medications. After just 3 months of working with me, she's been able to increase her cycle length to 24 days between cycles, even during a time of massive stress and change in her life. 🙌
Which of these signs do you have (or not have)? Want me to do a follow up to share what it means if your body isn't experiencing these signs? Let me know in the comments below.

our body is already doing the giving.
Menstruation is an active process, and it can be depleting. Let me know in the comments if you tend to overdo it, even when you're menstruating.
It's normal and natural to be a little more tired during menstruation (note I said "a little". Extreme exhaustion is a sign of imbalance).
Use this time of the month as one to practice receiving instead of giving. Receive a hug, or a meal made by someone you love. Receive rest, or a break from the constant self-criticism and critique. Push "out" a little less, and turn inwards. Your body will feel the benefits.
What do you think? Could you slow down a little more during menstruation?

I don't always know how to communicate what it is that I do.
While the outcome is the same — helping women enjoy better health, more vibrancy and confidence, and more joy — the way I go about it with each client looks quite different.
🌼With some clients, we spend most of the time talking about diet and eating habits.
🌼With others, it's all about breaking down limiting beliefs that are holding them back.
🌼With others, we spend time in meditation, Yogic postures, and breathing practices to help relieve long-held patterns of tension and stress.
⭐I look at my clients as individuals. I get to know them so well, so that I can adapt my coaching style and tools to their particular needs.
As a result, you feel:
👉supported and understood
👉motivated to make change
👉confident in your path
And... you get the life you always wanted. 🦋
If you feel like your body or mind are holding you back from living the life of your dreams — book a strategy call with me. We'll chat about how I can use the ancient teachings of Āyurveda and Yoga to help you feel your best and reach yours dreams. Wanting to eat healthier this New Year?
Learn from my mistakes. Here are 3 things I needed to learn in order to finally heal my digestive issues:
1. Many healthy foods are not easy to digest.
The huge bowls of raw kale salad I was eating were just perpetuating my issues with bloating and constipation.
Many foods touted as "healthy" don't necessarily support optimal digestion. Raw greens, nut butters, granola and yogurt, or fruit mixed with protein can all contribute to bloating, gas, acid reflux, or feeling heavy after eating.
2. Snacking all day was making my blood sugar problems worse
I had the emergency energy bar with me wherever I went because I would experience low blood sugar at least weekly. I'd get hot, have clammy palms, and even start shaking. I thought that experiencing this meant that I needed to eat more often, so I doubled down on snacking to prevent those low blood sugar episodes. The constant snacking was actually making it worse! Now I eat 3 meals (and only 3), and basically never have low blood sugar issues.
3. Food sensitivities aren't permanent conditions.
I thought that I would never be able to have dairy again. I thought that fennel made my mouth swell up and get itchy. And I thought it would be this way forever. It turns out that those sensitivities were evidence of how imbalanced my digestive tract was. As I cleaned up my digestion, dairy and fennel are now things I eat daily, without symptoms.
It can be frustrating to navigate the nutrition world without an expert guide. You don't have to go through the same ups and downs.

Nourishing a healthy menstrual cycle.
It can be difficult to figure out what eating Āyurvedically looks like in a whole day, when you're just seeing one-off recipes or meals.
This is a reflection of a regular work day in my life - the meals are delicious and home-made. I prep my breakfast the night before and set the Instant Pot to cook it so it's ready when the family is hungry.
After breakfast I typically cut up veggies and set up lunch. Dinner gets cooked around 3 or 3:30 while my son has his afternoon snack.
I loved this set of meals - the soup and sushi added texture differences and variety, while still sticking to the 60:40 balance bowl principles I learned from .
In addition to being delicious, these meals help keep my energy up and my menstrual cycle symptom-free.
I hope this post sparks curiosity and inspiration for your next meal! What questions do you have for me about it? 🤔
