Students at the Lynde School took a refreshing approach to learning about marketing and business through the second annual Lemonade Wars! Students came up with fanciful and fun flavors, created logos, and marketed their lemonades to staff in the hopes of winning the Lemonade Wars.
After sampling each of the six entries, staff voted on the beverages based on: the most refreshing, the most unique flavor, the best twist in a classic, the best customer service, the best presentation, the staff's favorite logo, and the favorite beverage overall.

Gateway Longview and New Directions Youth and Family Services have incredibly talented and knowledgeable staff. We use virtual Community Conversations to share that expertise and interest with others in the agency, and discuss how these topics may affect and support the families we serve.
Employees at Gateway Longview and New Directions Youth and Family Services recently attended an internal panel event about effectively supporting LGBTQ+ identities and creating a welcoming atmosphere for staff, youth, and families. They discussed the importance of using inclusive language in forms and policies, creating a welcoming environment through thoughtful signage and decoration, and actively listening to youth and families as they share their experiences.
